Ingredients
  

  • You’ll need:
  • 4 cups of strong bread flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 packet 7g of dried yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • About 1 1/2 cups warm water

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix flour and salt, then stir in yeast and sugar.
  2. Gradually add warm water to make a soft dough—knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.
  4. Knock back the dough (gently deflate it) and shape it into a round, flat disc.
  5. Place on a floured baking sheet, cover, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-30 minutes, until golden and hollow-sounding when tapped.
