  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp sea salt plus more for garnish
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional
For the Crust:
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup cold butter cubed

Method
 

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Crust: Combine flour and sugar, then blend in cold butter until crumbly. Press evenly into the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Filling: Whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Fold in nuts (if using).
