Ingredients
  

For the Meat:
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground oregano
  • 1 tsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb ground beef
For the Sauce:
  • 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tsp white vinegar adjust to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Meat:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine all dry spices and flour in a bowl.
  3. Add ground beef and knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Shape into a loaf and bake for 1 hour.
  5. Let cool slightly, then slice thinly.
Make the Sauce:
  1. Whisk evaporated milk, sugar, and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Gradually add vinegar, stirring until thickened.
  3. Refrigerate before serving.
Assemble Your Donair:
  1. Warm a pita.
  2. Layer with sliced beef, diced tomatoes, onions (optional), and generous sauce.
  3. Fold and enjoy!
